We are thrilled to have been awarded three championship medallions in this year's Winewise Championship!

  • Our sold out 2016 Generations Shiraz picked up yet another accolade, winning the trophy for Best 2016 Shiraz.
  • Our current release 2017 Wellington Road G.S.M. picked up the trophy for Best Other Red Blend. Get your hands on somehere before it sells out!
  • And finally, our soon-to-be-released 2017 Wellington Road Shiraz/Cabernet was awarded Best Cabernet Sauvignon Blend.

The Winewise Championship is truly the best of the best in Australia. To be eligible to enter, a wine must have won a gold medal at the National Wine Show of Australia, or a previous Winewise challenge. In their words:

"In our Winewise Championship we invite all gold medal-winning wines from our regional wine shows, Australia-wide, and the National Wine Show to enter. We bring together a stellar judging panel of winemakers, media commentators, retail trade people and the Winewise crew to decide the best of the best."

In 2019, all eligible wines were judged in small groups of no more than six by the judging panels which included members of the regular Winewise crew, as well as wine industry legend Tim Knappstein, Gwyn Olsen (Head Winemaker, Pepper Tree Wines), Bryan Currie, (GM Hungerford Hill), Alex McKay (Collector Wines) and Nick O’Leary (Nick O’Leary Wines).

  • To receive three trophies in a competition as tough as this is amazing and we are truly grateful. Congratulations to our hardworking team, led by superstar winemakers Paul Hotker and Matt Laube.
