NEW RELEASE - Our Refreshing Riesling of 2019!

Crisp and refreshing, our new release 2019 Riesling is generous in flavour, with zesty lemon, limes and crunchy pink lady apple flavours and bursts of tangy acidity with a clean and persistent finish.

Handpicked from the cooler climate of the Adelaide Hills, grapes for our 2019 Riesling are crushed and chilled oxidatively before gentle pressing into stainless steel tanks for fermentation and settling. We bottle the Riesling early to ensure the retention of the freshness and purity that is a result of the rich soils and optimum growing conditions in theAdelaide Hills.

This year’s new release Riesling is the epitome of our Bleasdalewinemaking vision, to capture the essence of what makes Langhorne Creek and Adelaide Hill’s wines so attractive – vibrancy, harmony and texture. Staying true to our historical foundations, our winemaking team continues to utilise traditional practices for the creation of this Riesling that have been perfected over our 169 years of winemaking.

With its crisp and tangy acidity, the 2019 Riesling has been crafted with the scope to age well over the coming 12 years in the cellar. While reds are the most commonly associated wine to cellar aging, this Riesling has the potential to be enjoyed until 2030. As it matures, so will its colour, deepening from clear and pale to more of a golden hue.

When it comes to the best food pairings for our new release Riesling, it is versatile and can be paired with numerous dishes, however we highly recommend that you incorporate spice andbold flavours. This is due to the Riesling’s sweetness and acidity, making it the perfect accompaniment for spicy foods. Strong Indian and Asian spices are a great match as well as hearty Chinese stir-fries.
