Bleasdale becomes Official Wine Partner of the South Australian Cricket Association

Bleasdale Vineyards is proud to announce its new role as the Official Wine Partner of the South Australian Cricket Association.

This new partnership will see Bleasdale’s range of wines from Langhorne Creek and the Adelaide Hills poured at Adelaide Oval over the upcoming summer of cricket, as well as promoted to the SACA membership base.

Bleasdale General Manager, Leigh Warren, is thrilled to partner with another iconic South Australian name.

“Both Bleasdale and the SACA have a long history in South Australia and we are really pleased to be partnering with the SACA,” said Leigh. “With the SACA celebrating their 150thanniversary this year, the timing couldn’t have been better. We have been proudly South Australian owned and operated for 171 years, so together we have seen a few milestones come and go!”

“This alignment is a great brand elevation opportunity for Bleasdale and a chance to share our award-winning Langhorne Creek and Adelaide Hills wines with SACA members.”

“We’re committed to a long and successful partnership with the SACA, and I am particularly looking forward to attending a few cricket games this summer and enjoying a glass or two of Bleasdale.”

Bleasdale will have the exclusive pouring rights at all of the official SACA functions, including the upcoming Test Match Dinner, as well as taking the mantle as exclusive hospitality wine partner for the Adelaide Strikers over the upcoming Big Bash League season.

Bleasdale is no stranger to cricket either, with a wine very fittingly named ‘Second Innings’ and featuring a photo of Frank Potts II playing cricket on the property in the early 1900s.

This exciting opportunity follows a period of sustained success for Bleasdale, having been awarded a number of prestigious awards in recent years, including the 2019 Jimmy Watson Trophy, the 2018 Max Schubert Trophy, and winemaker Paul Hotker being named 2018 James Halliday wine maker of the year.

This is the second major sporting partnership announced by Bleasdale in the past 14 months, having also signed on as the Official Wine Partner of the Melbourne Football Club AFL club in late 2020.

“We joined the Melbourne Footy Club in late 2020 and less than 12 months later, they had won their first premiership in 57 years. Hopefully we can provide a similar lucky charm for the Redbacks in the not-too-distant future!” finished Leigh.
