Another Trophy! And a Summary of 2018's Successes

Bleasdale has capped off a stellar year at the National Wine Show of Australia yesterday, with the 2017 Wellington Road G.S.M. awarded the Blended Dry Red Trophy.

This is the second time in three years that Bleasdale has won this trophy, with the 2015 vintage of the same wine taking it home in 2016.

Bleasdale has had a truly extraordinary run of trophy success at wine shows across the country in 2018, collecting a total of nine trophies for six different wines. Included amongst this swag of trophies were three Best Red Wine of Shows at three capital city wine shows – Sydney, Perth and Adelaide – for three completely different wines: a 2016 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Blend, a 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant Blend, and a 2016 Shiraz.

A highlight among highlights was receiving the prestigious Max Schubert AM Trophy for Most Outstanding Red Wine of Show (Royal Adelaide Wine Show) for the first time, with the 2016 Generations Shiraz the judges’ pick for this year.

On top of this trophy success, Bleasdale wines were also awarded 26 gold medals at wine shows in 2018, with wines across the entire portfolio being recognised; a true testament to the versatility and consistency of Bleasdale and Langhorne Creek wines.

The 2017 Wellington Road G.S.M. is due for release Monday December 3rd, along with our Max Schubert-winning 2016 Generations Shiraz, and Sydney Royal Wine Show Best Red of Show-winning 2016 Wellington Road Shiraz Cabernet.
