At this year's Langhorne Creek Wine Show none other than our own Sarah Keough was named the 2022 Viticulturist of the Year!

Sarah is our Viticulturist here at Bleasdale, managing our estate vineyards and working with our growers to ensure excellent fruit quality year-on-year, that allows our winemaking team to create such wonderful (and award-winning!) wines.

She is an active participant in the EcoVineyards project which introduces native insectary plants as a means of reducing the need for pesticides, and is constantly looking to improve our sustainability practices in the vineyard and beyond.

Sarah is also a current Nuffield Scholarship recipient, an international program aiming to increase practical farming knowledge and management skills. Sarah’s project as part of this scholarship is Mitigating Heat Stress in Vineyards in Langhorne Creek, something that will no doubt be beneficial for our vineyards for a long time!

It is wonderful to see Sarah recognised for her contribution to the Langhorne Creek wine region and we couldn’t be prouder!
