1850: The beginning of an Australian Wine Story

SA History Festival

Frank Potts founded Bleasdale in 1850; with over 170 years of stories to tell, this experience is a must.

Frank was a carpenter who took to boat building, a farmer who took to wine making and the man who built a wine dynasty.

Join Robbie Potts, fifth generation, and his nephew Damen Michelmore, sixth generation, on a 1.5hour intimate, guided tour and tasting, that will take you into the depths of our historic winery.

Wander through old hand-hewn red gum vats, venture through hidden doors to see how fortified wine was produced in the early 1900’s and finish with an exclusive tasting overlooking our old Red Gum Press, built in 1892, a wonder to behold!
