2010 Broad-Side Shiraz/cabernet Sauvignon/Malbec

The wine shows the harmony of the varieties with plum and blackcurrant fruits, typical chocolate character from the shiraz and boysenberry spice from the Malbec.  A juicy palate with persistent flavour and smooth velvety tannins.  The 2009 growing season started with cool spring flowering, lowering average yields through reduced berry set.  Summer was relatively warm and led to an earlier than average harvest period with intense flavour due to reduced crop loads, wines from this vintage should age gracefully.
