At the 2023 Royal Adelaide Wine Show held in early October, our2022 Tempranillowas awarded the Karl Seppelt AO Trophy for Best Other Varietal Red of Show.
This is the first trophy for our Tempranillo, with it also receiving a gold medal at this show, joining the two silver medals it had previously been awarded. The 2022 vintage is just the second time we have made a straight tempranillo, so for it to win a trophy so early on in its history means our winemakers must be doing something right!
This is also the third time in the past four years that a Bleasdale wine has won the Best Other Varietal Red Trophy at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show with our Generations Malbec winning the same trophy in back-to-back years over 2020 and 2021 (for the 2019 and 2020 vintages respectively).
The current 2022 vintage of ourGenerations Malbecwas also awarded the Top Gold in its class, maintaining its strong form at the show.
