New Reviews from James Halliday - February 2023

In the Weekend Australian on Saturday 4th February 2023, James Halliday wrote a wonderful article about the history of Bleasdale and Langhorne Creek, and what an amazing man Frank Potts was (don't we know it!). He also released new scores and reviews for three of our wines: our 2021 Generations Malbec, 2021 Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2021 Second Innings Malbec.

Halliday gave the2021 Generations Malbeca huge score of97 out of 100 points, and had the following to say:

"This won golds at the Melbourne and Perth Royal Wine Awards, and the Royal Adelaide and Hobart Wine Shows, all in 2022. It has all the attributes of its Second Innings sibling, but is even more intense, with terrific line and length."

This wine is available to purchase nowhere.

He also reviewed two of our Heritage Range wines which are soon-to-be released:

2021 Second Innings Malbec - 95 points

"It is a seriously good malbec by normal standards, butBleasdale is Australia's foremost maker of the variety, investing it with rich, velvety plum and blackberry fruits, supported with amiable tannins.Exceptional value."

Due for release in March 2023

2021 Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon - 95 points

"Finesse and elegance are the last words expected for a young cabernet, but they describe this most attractive wine. Has won a string of silver and gold medals."

Due for release in April 2023.
